Power coated my Blazer and Charger gloss black in the past. I prefer flat black much more.
Nevermind my sun burnt buddy who was seeking shelter in the shade.
BTW I paid $190 for wheels, skid plate, and center caps to be painted.

Blacked out badges-rims OME lift with 881's & dakar pacs, summer tires=BFG 31x10.5x15 on 93 4runner rims, winter= 265 75 16 DURATRACS on stock steelies,Flowmaster exhaust, deck plate mod, ARB front bumper
These came off a 03 4runner...they were in tough shape(salt abuse)c-caps bad as well.

Used them as winter rims with new Michelin Latitude Alpin mounted ....prepped and rattle-canned them for the 2nd winter of use...chipped a bit...look OK for my winters on my Tundra!015-2_447add4cc003d7c8956a5c4ad67fe3682b305395.jpg

Also restored 93 4runner alloys for my TACO but had them sandblasted before I rattle-canned......way better to have them sandblasted with tires off when painting yourself

I see you're from San Jose. Where did you get your wheels powder coated?

Yea man I'm glad I went this route instead of going aftermarket. Well if you need any advice/help just let me know.

i think iam gonna go with the power coating rims my self! if i find a shop around here in SoCal.. Anyway i was wondering how long does the whole process take? My truck is the main way of transportation for me so i cant be without it for long.. from the time you drop it off to the time you pick it up.. Another question is what should i do first? get the rims powercoated? or get new tires?

I'm on the fence about painting them. I know touchups would be easier but really don't want to be touching them up ever few weeks. It's a hard choice

Depends on the shop and how busy they are. This shop told me that on avgerage if the wheels are off a daily driver they can get them done in about 4days. I bought new tires when I had mine powder coated that way I know I'm good to go for along time before they need to be broke back down. I went with the revo 2's for tires.

At a shop near my work in Santa Clara, Trimble and De La Cruz area.
There are a few powder coating shops in this area. I can try to get the name of the one I went to if you'd like.
