Hey everyone. I was at Costco today and they were selling some 17x8 Matte Black Pro Comp rims (7089) for $119.00 and the 17x9 for $122.99. My question is should i get the 17x8 or the 17x9? My tires right now are 265x70x17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I know that I'll eventually want 285's. Which size rim do you guys recommend?

    Thanks!

The Costco in eureka ca said they wouldn't get them. Is it specific to certain regions?

I've got 17x9's on the way. I say go with that. Note that I just bought them from 4wheelparts for $122.50 each (they're $135 but you get $50 off the total for all 4) so that's a whopping 49 cents cheaper there ... :p

    Y'all don't think 17x9 would be a little too wide for 265/70s??

*edit* nevermind, just saw that he's getting 285's next. I'm blind.

They have them at the local Costco here in Sac, the only problem is that one of the employs there said "they take about a month to get if not a bit longer" But I would get them at Costco because of their warranty.

That's what I was thinking too. Gotta love Costco's warranty. The one that I went to was located in Orange County. It may be only certain Costco's that have them. So I guess I should get the 17x9. Thanks for your suggestions!

I came across a website called race-mart.com. They were selling the 1089, which is think is just the polished aluminum version, for $408 shipped! Might want to check the site out. I think I'm gonna get them after Christmas if their price doesn't change any.

The aluminum price is really good, but I guess the price for the black wheel (7089) isn't any better than costco due to shipping. But some of the comments above make it seem like Costco is a hassle.

I registered as a Gold Member since it's free. Once my membership gets approved, I'll add them to my basket and see what shipping would be.

Yeah it was the same to me. That's why I'm thinking about the 1089, the polished aluminum version, because it comes out to $410 shipped. I'm just not sure how the polished aluminum will look and how much maintenance it'd be.
