    Hi,

I've read (most) of the wheel size / offset sticky but I'm still not clear if I've got a problem.

I've got a set of 17" Konig Countersteer Offroad Type X on order, but now I'm worried they may not fit. I plan on mounting my 265/70/17 BFG A/T's on them, stock suspension so far. 2010 TRD Sport.

I keep hearing that we should be running wheels with 4.5" backspacing.

    The Konig's have a -10 offset, so if I plug that into the formula [Wheel Width / 2] + [Offset] + [about 1/4] it would be [8" / 2] + [-10] + [.25] I get a backspacing of -5.75.

That seems pretty far from 4.5 !

    Am I screwed ?

If they are 8" wide and have an offset of -10, the backspacing will be around 4". If anything they will stick out too much, but you should be fine.

check this chart, 1/3rd of the way down the page, to convert offset and width to backspacing.

Hmm, ok. According to that chart they'd have a little more than 4" backspacing...guess that's better than -5.75 :D

    So...did I totally screw-up the formula ?

    Thanks for the help !
