15 or 17?

Alright guys, I know this question has been asked probably about one billion times but I'm a noob so I figure I ask one more time.... I just bought a 2011 Tacoma Sport and I have the ReadyLift 3" front / 1" rear Lift Kit
in the truck... I was looking at tires today and it seems the 285 70 R15 fits pretty snug up against the UCA... there's some space but not much... Anyway is there any chance I coud go with 285 70 R17 running off that lift set up?? The R15's look like pretty thin tires IMO... .thoughts???

No worries, so you're asking if you can go from the 265/65R17's that came on the truck to 285/70R17's without rubbing issues? You're original question confused the hell out of me, haha.

 

I am really confused here, but just FYI 15" rims don't fit on 2nd gen tacomas, except for the base models.

 

I just want to make sure I won't rub the UCA with a 285 70 R17 wheel. I have the ReadyLift 3" front / 1" rear Lift Kit in the front but that UCA scares me with the ways it's positioned.. Just want to check before I get new skins..

 

^ you will need aftermarket wheels with 4.5" backspacing, or wheel spacers.
