Best at tire?

Ok im sure this has be brought to the table before but im new to this fourm.I have a 05 Pre -Runner 2x4 that i lifted 3 in.I dont go off road i live in Fla so no snow so i was woundering what are the best tires for the money?something that will last.

 

BFG All Terrains. Hands down the best all terrain tire. Don't put in the manufacturers reccomended air though. I run 26 to 31lbs in mine. You'll get over 50k outta em if they're rotated like they should be.

 

I agree with the tire selection, but not the inflation. I've got almost 65,000 off the tires on several sets from a f-250 to a dakota, to a 1st gen taco. I did 45PSI on my Load Range D's on both the dakota and taco, and did 70 PSI on my Load Range E's on the 250

 

Depends on what you do with them... First of all, if you don't off road and don't see any snow, sand, etc. it sounds like these are just for looks. BGF A/Ts are nice if you intend to use them, otherwise I think you're money could be better spent elsewhere. If you run the road a lot, something with a solid centerline like a Toyo A/T, Cooper ATR, etc would give you a better ride on pavement and still give you an aggressive look.

 

I got the load range E's tonight and was told to run 65 psi is that right.

 

They had them in stock and I got a good deal and I do feel a hell of a difference when turning and handling especially in the snow vs the rugged fails you might get the same from the load range d's but ain't nothing wrong with a little overkill.

 

I just got them on a couple of hours ago I didn't notice any road noise one of the reasons I bought them is I heard they were decently quiet for A/T's but I did go over a couple of speed bumps and they didn't feel stiff at all I kinda liked the way they feel driving like I have a little more control. They look good too.

Ill agree with the psi part. I'm on pavement n off road quite a bit. Just my own preference. I was told they quit makin the Ds?

 

I like the BFG AT KOs. I got 80,000 miles on a 2001 F-150. I ran em at 32psi and rotated every 8,000 miles. They're a great Fla tire.

Replaced that truck with a 2010 Taco and just replaced the OEM Rugged trails with Nitto Terra Grapplers. I switched to Nittos instead of BFG ATs to save some bucks. So far I'm very happy with them. Haven't seen any mud yet but they're great in the sand and on the road, wet or dry. I hope the tread life is close to the BFGs. Time will tell.

 

i have the pro comp extreme A/T on my ranger , loved the hell out of them, they are a pretty agressive A/T though, but fairly quiet
