P265 to P245?

Just curious what people's thoughts were. I have a new 2008 DC TRD Off Road w/ the stock 16" wheels and P265/70R16 BG Rugged Trail tires. At some point I'll upgrade the tires, but from my last vehicle I sold I have left over an almost new set of 4 Yokohama Geolander Snow tires. They are size P245/70R16.

Would the P245 fill on the 16" wheel and the tire just be skinner? Do you think that would look goofy? Thanks.

if i remember right, the tacos w/ 245's are on the exact same rim as the offroads. it'll fit, but like u said, narrower and shorter i'd think

My truck came with P245/75R16s. The 265/70R16s are considered optional or upgraded tires from Toyota. In regards to my tires, the 245 is millimeters across, the 75 is aspect ratio or sidewall height, R is radial and 16 is tire/wheel diameter. You can use this to compare your winter tire numbers.

FWIW, I upgraded my stock 245 Dunlops to Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors & stayed with the 245/75R16s. You can look in my gallery (camera icon) to get an idea of how they will fill in a wheel well.

Not sure if this helps but Congrats on the new tacoma!
