Been looking for tires, found some I actually liked and only Walmart carried them (Goodyear Wrangler Authority) read on the forums some of the guys liked them and had good review, plus they looked badass! Go up there to buy them and the inbred hillbilly lady workin the desk rang me up, fill out all the form....etc..etc.. At the end she says i need to look at the OEM tire sticker inside your door, we walk out there and she says I cannot put these tires on your truck because they are too big, I wanted the 265/75/16's and from the OEM came 265/70/16's....I raised hell, got the mangaer raised hell with him, and still got denied... So long story short I just went down to discount tire and ordered the Goodyear Duratrac's. Dont ever go to Walmart for anything automotive, I learned my lesson, and should have listened to my instincts in the first place and never went to begin with!

Oh come on, Wal mart is great for freak watching. Some of the cars you find in the parking lot are also good for laughing at.

They're not the only ones that won't put bigger tires on your truck, I went to Tire Warehouse and Wilson Tire (a local goodyear dealer) and they won't install anything but the stock size, its BS!, I bought the Dura-tracs and had to bring them to my local garage to have them installed.. thank god there's still guys around with tire machines that want to make money!

I try to avoid Walmart for anything I can. I really only go there to price match, then I go back to another store and say "Walmart has this item for X price, I want it at that price" :) Usually I'll get it for the same price, if not a couple of dollars cheaper. I'm a bastard, ain't I.

When I bought my winter tires from Fountain Tire, I went up a size. Every person I dealt with told me the same thing "This is the wrong size". The desk clerk, the tech manager, and the installer. I just smiled and told them that I knew that already. And they went on my truck without any hitches.

I find this amusing, because I had my 285s put on at a Toyota Dealership and no one said *shit*. I am still under warranty, however, so maybe they figured that along with getting my new suspension on record would help them deny some claims down the line.

Even though I work for their competitor I love WalMart. Where else can i get a case of beer, a DVD, a pair of underwear, a can of Manwich, a box of ammo, the latest 4x4 magazine and a can of dip at the lowest price under one roof? However, i would never even consider having them work on any of my vehicles. In their defense, the large companies have so many policies when it comes to different tire sizes. With all the sue happy people out there they have to cover their ass. The large corporations have deeper pockets then the small billy-bob shops. (more law suit prone). Even still, the guy that was mixing paint last week is gonna be the guy changing your oil this week. Dont let walmart work on your car.

I have had some really bad experiences with wal-mart's automotive section.

I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THEM AGAIN.

I bought a road hazard/free tire rotation plan from them and they wouldn't even honor it. Further, I had them change the oil in my car before and they stripped out the drain plug and oil leaked everywhere.

My Dad went to Wal-Mart one time to have the coolant flushed in his radiator and when they refilled it, they put window washer fluid in it. My Dad went nuts on them.

Take my advice and never go to wal-mart for anything automotive related.

    THEY SUCK BIG TIME!
