Spare Tire

So now that I got my tires on the truck I want a fullsize spare. I run the BFG AT 285/70/17. That wont fit under the truck where the spare is kept right? So what options do I have on getting a spare and securing its location?

You have several options.

You can alter the area beneath the bed to fit your tire. There is a write up in the Write Up section on the forum on how to do this.

You can buy a tire gate to replace your stock tailgate (see attachment).

Or you can just leave it in your bed and tie it down with some straps to the D rings.

I was able to fit Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/70/17 under there without any modifications. It's a tight fit and it's about an inch or two from the top. It doesn't touch the exhaust pipe either. I do have a 3" lift, so it's no where near the ground and it actually looks pretty good.
