We just purchased a new Tacoma, and I made the mistake of not going with a truck with alloy wheels and better quality AT tires... I have the stock steel wheels with the Dunlop GrandTrek AT20 (245/75R16) tires (rated next to last on tire rack's consumer survey results) ... I really can't afford more than $1000 right now, but am looking for advice on tire/wheel combos compatable with the current TPMS sensors/valve stems. I was looking at the Michelin LTX M/S a little bit, and for wheels, I just want something nice looking (machined style, not chrome). Does anyone have any suggestions for this type of budget, and is it doable? I really think I should replace these tires before winter (Central PA - snow/ice).

    Any advice would be great!!
    Drew
