is your gas mileage toast with those though? my main thing is that the TG's prob are very heavy when compared to bfg...9lbs heavier each

Honestly if you're that concerned with gas mileage then you shouldn't even be considering any form of M/T. You should be looking at A/T's like the BFG, Terra Grappler or Cooper Zeon LTZ. I have run the Trail Grappler and it's definitely a heavier tire, but you're going to lose gas mileage even with a lighter mud terrain like the km2. They all have big soft tread blocks that eat mileage, no way around it.

I have 50K on my KM2's and lots of tread left...and they freakin rock off-road...No experience with the TG.

Hey, thanks for all the help guys. Gas mileage is a concern but I am willing to lose a mpg or so. My main search is for a 265/70/17 mud terrain with the best road manners and not heavy as a boulder. the more I hear from all of you the more I am between the BFG and duratrac (i know its kinda an All terrain). I just kinda think the duratracs look odd bc the triangular side tread...thats why im close to pulling the trigger with the km2's. I prob will only lose a mpg or maybe 2 mpg..
