Tire Pressure Sensors

Is there anyway to bypass the spare sensor? My 285's call for 65psi and the stocker calls for 35psi...any way around it?

 

Not really.

 

I got mine recalibrated when i put my 285s on.

 

So how was that done....are you running a 285 for the spare too?

 

The spare is in progress since i gotta mod out the spare holder to hold one that big. They were re calibrated by 4Wheel Parts so I couldnt tell you how.

I also have some 285's with the factory spare. I haven't had any problems with them giving false readings. The other day I used the chalk method to air up my tires and the light went off because I droped the rear pressure by atleast 6psi. The TPMS seems fine with my tires wonder if the one in the spare may not work, better for me.

 

I had 285's on with my stock spare for over a year. I put all 5 tires to around 40psi without problems until about a month ago. Battery died a couple times and now the damn light is flashing all the time even though I checked all 5 tires. Was thinking about checking again to make sure they were all the same, but I'll be getting new tires this week so why bother.

 

Good luck with that piercedtiger. Those little problems from out of the blue are the worst.

 

Yeah, and I'm not about to pay the dealer $120 to figure it out.
