I have a 2011 taco. If I get the Bilstiens 5100 it will give me 2.5 inches on the front. What is the largest tire I can fit in there without trimming the metal FRAME? I dont mind trimming the plastic bumper and stuff.

285s will fit fine at 2.5 as long as wheels are 4.5 backspacing get spidertrax if using stock rims

If by "fit fine" you mean after trimming some plastic and possibly chopping the cab mount, then you are correct.
