It says 0 offset on the back of the wheel. I do believe i will go with what the wheel has stamped into the back of it.

Then if the offset is 0 and the rims are 9" wide, you actually have 5" backspaced wheels, not 4.5 as you said in your earlier post.

See the chart on this page, 1/3rd of the way down.

I am confused by this a bit too.

    From the Sticky:

    4. Offset. The distance from the centerline of the wheel to the face of the mounting surface of the wheel that contacts the hub.

4.1 Zero Offset. Indicates the mounting surface is at the wheel center.

Seems to me that on a 9" wide wheel with 0 offset, the backspacing on that wheel would be 4.5" because 0 offset indicates the face of the mounting surface is at the centerline of the wheel which is half of 9".

What problems will I run into? Rubbing against the body mount because I can cut that no problem. And cut the plastic but not into the fender itself. I'm running 17x9 eight now with a 0 offset and 265/70/17 nitto terra without any problems at full lock. I want my rims to stick out a bit. So is it possible or should I get wheel spacers and go with 20x8.5?

Yes get 20x8.5 when .25 wheel spacer. It will be the best in long run.

The measurements are taken from different places.

Rim width is measured between the bead seats, not the actual entire width of the rim. Go measure your rims right now. They will be about an inch wider than the true "rim width" that they are spec'd at.

Backspacing is measured from the outside of the rim, not the bead.

Therefore, while a 0 offset, 9" wide rim has 4.5" between the rim seat and the bead, it actually has about 5" to the outer edge of the rim.

and dont get spacers. it shortens up your bolts and increases the risk of lugs coming off

Wish they made them in 16". I'd have a set. People say they're played out but I have never, ever seen a set here in the center of the midwest.

Tacoma1923 I pmed you. I don't really want to use spacer either. Thinking of going with 20x10 now depending on what tacoma1923 says about fitting them. Thanks everyone.

Here is a photo of my truck with the 20" x 10". Does rub if I crank the wheel but hasn't been a major issue.
