I'm installing my 5100/eibach lift next week and ordered new tires.

With the billies set at 0.85 and 1/2" spacer for lean and 1/4" spacer on passenger, I should hit 3" of lift.

    I ordered 285/75/16s. Should I have ordered 295/75/16s?

I just realized looking at the tire specs 285s are not quite 33" in diameter.
I feel like a fool. I may have to ship the 285's back in exchange for 295s.

    Any advice is appreciated.

I think the 295 would be too wide and cause some clearance problems.
The 285 may need som trimming to clear in full lock turns.

I'm aware of deleting mudflaps and wheel well trimming front/back.

Just not sure about 33's with 3" of lift. I always assumed 285's were 33's the whole time. I never bothered to look at stats.

If it makes a difference the tire I'm sizing is BFG AT KOs.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
stick w/ the 285s. you'll still need to trim w/ those. also, are these on stockers or aftermarket wheels?

Just to throw in another thing the 295s are naturally heavier and will reduce the gas milage even more than the 285s. Not much but bigger heavier tire do affect milage more as they get bigger.
If you really want to go big DO IT!, it's your truck and you should build it the way that you want to.

Yup. More tire = Worse MPG.

    I just thought I was ordering 33's.

    295's are 33's, not 285s.

    I fail.
