need opinions on braking power

hey guys just wanted some opinions. This is basically my first lifted truck and all, and need some opinions on the braking power for it. Since I put the lift on with bigger tires etc I noticed my braking power isnt as good as when it was stock. Im guessing I will need to upgrade everything, but wanted to know whats the best brand to upgrade to and if i should not just upgrade the brakes but the rotors etc as well? thanks in advanced!

 

I looked at your build but unless i missed it, i dont know what size tires you have....just curious.

Meanwhile, in my personal opinion/experience, i doubt changing pads alone will give you much braking power back.

you can keep stock rotors and just upgrade your pads to hawk hps.

 

the tires are: LT275/70R18, i had it in my build later on in a post

 

I have '10 Tacoma Prerunner Dbl cab.....one of the things that almost led me not to buy the truck was the soft pedal feel of the brakes and long stopping distance.....everyone I tried did it....I've had a couple of close calls during sudden needed stops...I do find pumping the brake helps a bit....anyone else have this issue.

 

Larger, heavier tires are going to reduce braking efficiency a bit. Probably not a whole hell of a lot you can do about it.
