Larger Tires and Gear Ratio

I have a 2006 4 cyl Tacoma and am going to lift it, take the stock 15" steelies off, and put on either 18's or 19's with a ~32" tire. Does anyone know if I will need to change the gear ratio of this 2.7L truck?? I dont want to put the engine under too much strain.

The 2.7L 4cyl 2wd has a final gear ratio of 3.31. So what you are saying is that I don't have to change the gear ratios?

Ok well let me recalculate this one. example. Take your factory gear ratio and multiply it times your factory tire height and you divide that by your new tire height and you will get your new gear ratio. 3.31x30.6/32=3.16 your new final drive ratio. that will be in drive not including overdrive which will reduce that even more. What are you planing to do with your truck? If all you want to do is drive it every day then you won't need to change anything. I'm not doubting you but I would have thought that the 2wd trucks would have had a lower gear ratio. Changing the gears will be a little pricy just to ride around.
