255/85/16 on a reg cab

First of all I have a 2010 reg cab 4x4, and I purchased the 3in OME kit with the 885 springs. I'm wanting to run the 255/85/16, but wondering how much cutting inside the fender I would need to do, to avoid rubbing. I See a lot guys with DC running this size but not to many with reg cabs.
I would raise it more but that would increase the cv angle to much I think.

yes, i will be running the stock steelies

 

the 255s will work ok. you will feel a loss in power and should probably regear. u will also need to do some trimming especially if you plan on going offroad a lot.

 

From what I've heard the 255s require less trimming than the 285s and will have less of a power loss.

 

So the 255's are manageable with a reg cab with 885 springs and no re-gear.
I've even considered going with the km2 in the 235/85/16, but most people on TW don't like that size. Is there a reason why, I'm old school so I kinda like the skinny look, plus it is a 32in tire. What do ya'll think?

I think you would be fine with a 255 shit I have 33x12.5's and I haven't regeared. Sure you have some power loss but its not that much.

I'm into the wider tires so I'm not a fan of 255's but if that's what you like I say go for it but not the 235's that's just way too small for a tacoma IMO.
