305/70/16

My friend wants to sell a set of 305/70/16 for one hell of a price. Will these fit on my stock 2008 prerunner 16" rims? Will I need spacers? I have a 3" lift on the truck. Anyone currently running these size tires? thanks.

 

the biggest tire size you can fit with small rub is 285/70/17, or 285/75/16, if you want bigger tires than that u will need new wheels and alot of cutting and sledge hammering. or install a 6" lift. wheel spacers only make things worst so thats not an option

 

Wheel adapters (Please don't buy spacers. Spacers only reduce the amount of thread a lug can contact) don't normally cause problems if you don't do any brutal off-roading.

Spidertrax makes some of the best adapters, and have a great standing and reputation.

265 is the widest you can go with no modification.

285s require more inner fender trimming, removal of the mudflaps, and possibly the pinch-weld mod. But 285s can be mounted on stock rims with a 3" lift.

After that...I can't help you.

 

yeah im not a fan of wheel spacers myself. hes offering a good deal so id figured i would ask. I think im probly going to go with the 285/75/16 on my stock rims. thanks.

 

im running 285/70/17 on my 07 taco, and with wheel spacers i had crazy rub, without them i had zero! just had to shave some small plastic under the front bumper with a blade knife.
