Thumbs up Max Tire size on 3" lift with Spidertrax spacer and flares

Hi folks,

I have a gen2 tacoma with a Toytec Ultimate 3" lift on it. I'm currently running some studded winter tires on the stock rims with Spidertrax spacers.

I'll be switching to summer tires soon and want to know what the max tire size I can fit is. I'm looking at getting 16" Konig Countersteer Offroad rims. I understand that with a 3" lift I can run 285/75/16 (I've done a search).

I have two other questions though that I haven't found an answer to:

1) If I use the Spidertrax spacers with the new Konig rims will my tires stick out from the stock fender flares (does anyone have this setup?)

and 2) if I install a set of aftermarket flares (like the Bushwacker model) will this allow me to run a bigger tire than the 285/75/16 (again, using the Spidertrax spacer).

Would appreciate any feedback or links from any of you who have experience with this.

Cheers,

Coach

Some folks have fit 33x12.5"'s. It just takes some more trimming and a cab mount chop. The wheel spacers might actually make the rub on the outside of the tire worse by increasing the arc when turning. The flares won't make any difference with the rub. The tires rub on the inside of the fender well plastic, not on the flares themsevles.

Good to know - thanks for the quick reply. I'm not really keen to do too much modding for big tires. I think I'll stick with the plan to go with 285/75/16s.

Guess I can try them with and without the spidertrax and see how she goes...

Cheers,

Coach
