Thanks. Sounds like the width of the tire may be a factor as well... What kind of lift did you use? I've read a lot about the Bilstein 5100s on here.

5100s all the way around for me and the rear leaf spring TSB. I wanted to keep it simple. The rears are not adjustable.

I originally had the fronts set at 1.75, but even with the rear TSB (it raised me around 5/8" in back) I was only at about 1/2+" of rake. If I put anything in the bed I was nose high.

So when I had my new shoes put on, I had them lower the fronts to .85 and it smoothed out the ride a bit and gave me around 1.5" of rake to keep me level even with a payload. It also reduced the small vibration I was getting between 22-27 MPH.

I guess it's all up to you and preference. I would like a little more lift, but there are side effects (stiff ride, vibrations, additional front-end components, etc.).

My set up worked best overall for my needs...

The biggest tire you can put on our truck is a 265/70 R17 w/ no rubbing. I have Cooper Discovery ATR's size 265/70 R17 (I went from the factory 65 series to the 70 series) on my truck now and have been really happy with them so far.

As far as a lift I did the 5100's in the front set at 1.75 and a 2" Toytec AAL in the rear. This gave the truck a whole new stance that looks much better than factory.

How does that lift combo ride compared to the stock set up?

When I decided to do the lift my rear leafs were shot causing my truck to bottom out without any weight in the bed or towing anything. So after the AAL was install it was much better/smoother. It kept the rear from bottoming out and seemed to be a better balances as far as the front stiffness compared to the rear. After doing the 5100's in the front I really didn't noticed any difference is stiffness or ride quality. Overall I think that it improved the ride of the truck a lot. I'm in the process of putting 5100's on the rear but haven't gotten around to it. When I did the 5100's on the front I kept the stock rear shocks and from what I hear the ride improves a lot. I haven't heard of anyone disliking the ride of 5100s w/ the AAL.

vvvvvvvvvvvvTHIS Revo2's are great. i also do 99% onroad driving and love them, you will get all sorts of opinions here, mostly just whatever poeple have on their truck . many will be much more agressive than you need and will be loud and rob gas mileage, go with 265-70-17 revo 2s
