recently from all the damn salt on the roads from winter, my wheels clear coat is starting to go.. im thinking about powder coating them black or like gun metal, but maybe plasti dipping first to see how they are dark.. my question is, if i hate it, will it really just peel off no problem? Also what do you think about doing these... maybe leaving the bead lockers silver?

Not 100% sure what XD would do but what kind of warranty did they have or did they have one? My guess is XD would do nothing since the wheels have 10000 miles on them. I could be wrong though.

Yeah thats the sad thing. But salt is serious business, it will eat at anything, thats why you at least spray it off quickly after its on there. The idiots you see spraying their vehicle off when its 10 degrees out even though they know that it will just get dirty in a day or two, yeah thats what they're doing is getting the salt off as soon as they can. At least thats what I do. In NC they salt the roads so heavily a month later there are craters in the road where the salt has been.

Yeah I think im going to end up doing the plasti dip because in CO they put mag chloride on the roads which is supposed to be safe and not corrosive, but thats a load of shit one of my wheels rusted on the bead and broke the seal. oh well, i think those wheels look sick like they are though so I would call the mfg.

Yeah forgot to add my wheels are already pretty shitty looking, if I had new ones I would get something done but for now its the cheap route haha. but yeah washing them down after the roads dry up is what ive been doing and it helps a lot, even though you have to do it the next week
