Keep the km2's rotated and they're pretty quiet. They do get louder with wear though.

Ive had mine for about 500 miles or so now. they are no louder than my 265/75r16 AT tires. From what i under stand if you rotate them regularly then they wear fine. I did have trouble getting them balanced but it ended up being a shop issue....go figure. they were mounting them on the balancing machine incorrectly. I REALLY like them off road. i got into a mud hole while heading to my camp spot in the woods and where i would normally have easily gotten stuck in 4wd with the at tires i was able to get through with little trouble in 2wd with the KM2s. i recommend them. PLUS.... they look perfect. I think they are the best tire for this pick up.

You can still downshift an auto. You just can't upshift it per se.

And his build shows an Access cab manual...

I have 26k on them in 2.5 years. There's 10-12 32nds left on them. Not sure what the starting depth is.

    This VVV

I can shift whenever I want. I should also add when I feel it's necessary to down shift I likely have a full bed of tailgating or camping gear.

I have a dclb with a bunch of extra weight. Its a little bit tougher on hills, but nothing crazy. Never really searching for a gear, truck will just rev up a little bit or downshift.

    Even towed,
    [IMG]

    still on stock gearing...

Just purchased a set of 5 Toyo MT 255/85r16 off tiredirect.ca for $281 each plus $95 shipping +tax. The Toyota dealership in Victoria bc wanted $391.98 each. I don't know how they could be cheaper having them shipped from the east coast then anyplace local. It's vancouver island, not Hawaii.

Should arrive just after I install my OME kit, hopefully after my uca's show up (which I have been waiting so patiently for). Since I don't have a place to store tires at the moment.

One question...? Is the stealership the only place you can have tires road force balanced?

Anyone tried running this tire size on the Baja Stock suspension? wondering if it will fit without rubbing.

Trim what? Plastic lining/remove mudflaps? Not really fond of cutting up fenders =( Maybe ill stick to the 265/75/16.... but I really like the 255s... to many choices!!!! The taco seems to find a way to empty my pockets 24/7

It depends on your use. I did not need to trim my mud flaps till I started wheeling and leaving one or two tires floating in the air while the others were fully stuffed into my wheel wells. Even then, I only trimmed the inside of the front flaps. I shortened all of them later after jamming them on rocks. I'll take a picture in daylight and post it so you can see.
I have no frame rub, and after trimming a couple small tabs, can fit my 255/85 spare under the bed.
You can also check my gallery, but I don't think there is a detail on that flap trim.

Just found this thread, and wanted to join it. I'm n the market for some new rubber, and I really like the 255/85's. I believe it takes the worry out of fitting bigger tires on my stock 16"rims. I am looking at the Interco TRXUS MT's. Any opinions on the Interco's.

Those interco tires are great rock tires. A friend of mine has 40" IROK. I call them tractor tires, they are solid
