    Ya I like my (stock) gearing with the 33s. Gives me some lower RPMs on the highway. Plus it is a manual so gearing tends to make less difference.

    Hell relentlesstaco runs or ran 35s with no regear on his manual. Not sure if he still has a Taco or what though.

    Yeah, I heard about that...

    Really, it drives great now with the stock 3:73's but I am sure in the mountains climbing hills it will be worth having the 4:10's. It will get it back to stock ratio's after all, and I have an automatic.

    Plus, I plan on towing a boat someday.

    You would probably be fine with stock gearing and that beastly 4.0.

    I read a couple of guys with this size and the auto tranny had weird shifting pattern issues

    Getting small grooves cut or molded into the blocks of tread to improve traction & wear.

    re-flash it and they will be fine if they drive smart.

    the tranny auto adjusts to the driver when new.

    Doesn't siping increase wear rather than reduce it ? More traction for sure in most conditions. At worst same, but mostly better.

    I always get the centers of my Mud Terrains siped. Better traction in Wet, Mud, and Snow.

    Dan, you just do the centers because sipped edges chunk more right?

    I noticed my sipped edges seemed to wear fairly quickly

    Funny you used the km2 as your example for non-siped while the km2 tech specs call them " deeply siped "

    Neither are siped anywhere near like a winter tire.

    The Geolander IT (Yoko) is a siped winter AT style tire.

    Correct. The center of the tire can take more abuse, and I don't really care if they chunk out a little. But the edges will tear/chunk pretty easy if you get them siped.
