Alright thanks everyone for your responses. I did a little more research and I think I've decided to just get a 1-1.5
Inch spacer and block with my new ucas. I don't want to have to trim plastic so I'm playing it safe by lifting it a little higher plus it'll look better with the extra inch of lift

Duratrac just came out with a 255/75/17. Looks like a step in the right direction. Maybe 255/85/16 next?

I have an 03 dc with ome lift and 255 km2s my biggest problem is finding a wheel to fit with out rubbing the frame at full lock , besides that I love them in everything from Moab red rock to lake Michigan sand dunes

Factory wheels and wheel spacers would be best. You'll want to run the narrowest rim possible to help bead retention.

After seeing sidewalk failures out of the duratracs I would never run them. If your on the west cost you would probably be ok but the east has way to many tree stumps and sharp rock that love sidewalls.

Can anyone show me a picture of a 2nd gen Tacoma running 255/85/16's with a 2.5" lift and wheel spacers please?

From my understanding after reading many pages on these forums, an OME 3" lift gives roughly from 2.5-2.75" of lift. What wheels/offset did you have in mind to use spacers? Like OZ said, you're going to rub with spacers. My TRD (fake) beadlocks just barely rub the inner part of the mudflap (might just take it off and cut out the area that rubs), the offset on them is the same as the factory TRD Sport wheels.

I like the wide look. So, if I want to run 255/85/16's, I have to take my wheel spacers off?

If you like the wide look, you shouldn't be running 255's…

I kinda like the look of the 255's but I might like it with wheel spacers, that's why I wanna see pics.

This is mine with 4.5" BS 8" wide wheels. Would be similar to stock wheels with 1.25" spacers.

Here is a shot of them next to some 12.50's. Not sure of the specs on the wheels though.

Nice, thanks. Looks good. Did you have to trim with the stock front bumper?

I didn't have to touch the front bumper itself (just the flare a little), but I did have to cut out a lot of the black liner out are the front of the wheel well.

Thanx for the pics. I picked up a set of stealth 6s (8.5 wide) and putting on 255/80/17 cooper maxxs. Have been concerned about the wheel width range for 255 being 6.5-8.5. I've been told I'm goin to catch a lot of rock rash on the lip.. but I chose 255s for my commute and scratches add character haha. I'll post some pics up here when I get them on.

My second thought is to run spacers or not?

Is this a good tire if I never go off-roading?
