2008 Taco 4X4: recommend a 265/75R/16 for me, please.

Hey guys.

I have about 43,000 miles and will be wanting some new tires soon.

I'd like to "up" things an inch or so to 75R instead of the stock 70R. My driving is 80% highway, 10% gravel, and 10% dirt/mud. Iowa snow needs to be factored into the highway driving.

I'm not looking for anything too aggressively treaded, but at the same time, I don't want lameass Grampa tires.

Budget is around $750.

Ideas? Thanks!!!

 

I'm in the same boat as you...2008 but with 15k miles. I'm just going to go up one size as well and the two front runners for me are the Hankook Dynapros or Firestone Destinations. But since I still have a lot of tread left, it'll be quite a while before I can get some new tires.

 

I'm going with Yokohama Geolander ATS 265 75 16, discount tire direct has them for $145 with free shipping, & my Toyota dealer is installing all four for $50, not a bad deal for $630.
