    My 02 taco had factory dunlops.I got 90k out of 2tires and 115k out of the other 2. That's bullshit when any company doesn't stand behind it's product.

    Yes it really does look like something hit the tire, look at the thin white scuffed area just next to the cut nearest the tread. Yes I know you did not hit anything but that looks like a cut. And I do I realize it's easy to say these things without seeing the tire first-hand but all we have is the picture.

    Tire warranty should be in a little booklet that accompanies the owner's manual. Sharp, parallel cuts on the sidewall is either due to mfg defect or damage (by you or by the vehicle distributor before delivery). Hard to say.

    With my previous car, I've punctured tired before on sharp potholes. Doesn't necessarily take a curb to do it.

    Bridgestone/Firestone wasn't always good, either. Remember the thread separation that afflicted Ford Explorers?
