I have been following the many threads on offset and back spacing. It seems that 4.5" bs is the standard for 6"lifted 05+ tacos. Question - how far out of the fenders will a rim 20x9, 4.5 bs, -12mm offset and 275/65/20 vs 20x10, 4.56 bs, -24mm offset same tires, will it rub the UCAs

If the rim is the same backspacing but 1" wider, it will stick out 1" further, not 1/2".

If the backspacing is the same, then all of the increased rim width is on the outer edge of the rim.

If your getting 275's don't buy a 10" wide wheel the side wall is not going to look good, stick with the 9"

And a 20/9 with a 4.5bs shouldn't stick out much the FJ rims are 8" wide with a 4.5bs and 285's don't stick out too far.

Yeah you were thinking that for the same offset, the extra inch gets split into two. Backspacing already takes that into account.

thanks a lot for the helpful info. guys. it's hard to find pics of wheel and tire shots from above fender. just don't want tires sticking out too far. :)
