sounds like you're really just going for looks, and don't really need that much off road performance. just decide which you like the looks of and go for it. every tire person i spoke to (when i pushed them) steered me away form the nitto's based on my off road needs (sidewall, air down, etc). otherwise, they said they were pretty good tires.

I have always had great luck with the BFGs. Wear like iron. Good ride. Can't go wrong.

The Nitto Terra Grapplers look cool, but they are soft. Wore out in half the time the BFGs did.

I have no experience with the Generals... might be fine... but I really see no reason not to get the BFGs (unless the Generals are just waaay less expensive).

    Just my 2 cents... YMMV.

i was told by a guy at truckaddons.com the other day on the phone that half of cooper tires and provcomp tires where recalled last year. i did not remember hearing anything about this, but when i was purchasing they where apparently recalling them and having some issues with manufacturing. just relaying what i was told on the phone yesterday fyi i was asking about pro comp extreme mud terrain tires when he told me all this.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I've got a short list but the top choice for me is the Michelin LTX A/T 2s. The website now says 60K wear warranty. If I get 50K I'll be happy.
Now to find a deal. They aint cheap.

Go with the Grabber AT2's. basically the same as the BFG A/T KO's but a lot cheaper... Mine are supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

i went with grabbers not b/c or price or looks, purely off my judgement with previous experience with the Grabbers to BFG's

on my work truck which does 70k a year, i was able to get twice the milage out of my grabbers and they performed just as well as the BFG

    just an IMO

i did think the BFG performed better in rig mud, but the Grabbers were far superior in snow and ice weather

ill be honest i based it a lot off of looks, but i still wanted an aggresive all terrain tire and like i said before, i havent heard any negative reviews about these terra grapplers to make me change my mind. but they are here and i should have them on my truck by tomorrow evening, ill post pics if i remember. dont expect too much, still not a sexy 6" lifted truck, but i think itll look sharp. hopefully these will be a little better in the sand for when we go to the obx next year than the uniroyals i have on my truck right now.

I ended up going with Yokohama Geo Landers and I love them so far. They are great in the rain and very quite on the freeway. Going off road with them this weekend and I don't think I will have any issues them.
