I was thinking of putting a set of TRD's like this on my 04 Tacoma 4WD. Will there be a problem with this? I have heard stories of calipers rubbing and such. Is this a problem with my year?

Nope, no problems. They will sit in a little further than your stock wheels because 2nd gens have 5.5" backspacing, while your wheels have 4.5". So the tires will sit in further but if you are only running 265s you should be fine.

I have seen them on a couple of 1st gens and I think they look pretty good imho.

Should I use spacers because of the difference in backspacing or just as is?

I would try it without spacers first. If you rub a bit, throw on the spacers.
