Ok so I am a new member here and have only had my Tacoma for about a month-two months so I don't know a lot about them. However, I have been visiting Tacoma World somewhat frequently recently and everyone seems to give good advice. I have a 2008, 4cyl, 5 lug, 2wd, extended cab, sr5, Tacoma. Currently everything is stock. My tires, which are stock, are 215/70R15. However, I am wanting to get some larger tires. Does anyone know what size all terrain tires I could run without lifting?

i know Quaker runs a 225/75/15 and some others have used 235/75/15 on stock suspension. possibly 30x9.5/15 with trimming done but not 100% sure on that.

Alright thanks man. I also just checked out your Tacoma and you have a nice set up. I saw that you painted your rims black and I have actually been thinking about doing the same thing with mine. Would you recommend that? Is it a good direction to go?

personally i like the results from painting them. funny part is that most of the people i work with still believe i bought new rims. its all a matter of personal taste. i've always liked black rims more than polished or chrome.
