I am awaiting delivery of my bilstein 5100s, coils and aal. Since im not 100% sure what kind of lift it will end up being I cant order tires and/or wheels. From what Ive learned, the front be adjusted a little bit higher and lower. the rear is a 2" aal.

So is there a thread that im just not seeing that points out the different size tires you can fit under the truck with/with out cutting? Maybe a sticky like

If you se the front at .85, you can safely fit a 285/blah/blah/blah

    or

If you set the front at the 1.5", you can safely fit 315/xxxx/xx, but if you do some cutting you can fit 345/xx/xxx

I have seen a lot of threads were people ask what can fit. Ive seen the thread with the sizes that fit on a factory truck with no lift. Nothing with the lifts. Seeing as how its pretty standard people are goign to use one of 2-3 lifts, maybe those with the knowledge can inform us retards what will fit.

I am clueless on lifts and all things related to this Tacoma....i was a fast car guy not a truck guy. so im just trying gather knowledge.

    0-1.75" - 265/75/16
2.5+ 285/75/16, with properly backspaced wheels and trimming.

What's the recommended BS and how much trimming?
I have a 2014 DC TRD Sport and (not installed) 2" spacers with a 1-1.5" aal. I would like to run 285/75r16. is this possible? If not what can I run?

    Many thanks.

I'm told you'll need a 3" full lift with new UCA's to clear 285's assuming you have a wheel 8" with 4.5" BS and 0 offset Even then no flaps and some minor plastic trim.

Some 285/75-16 run over 33" and some way under. The Nittos I just ordered are 32.65" some hoping they fit ok

4.5 inch backspacing, and 0mm is preferred, also -12mm for a wider stance but a little more trimming

the trimming will come from the inner fender liner, some people just take a hack saw and cut out the area so it looks cleaner, some zip tie the plastic pieces away so if they want to reverse it they can

the cab mount chop is needed if you want to do some extreme flexing wheeling. but normal every day driving trimming does the trick

    to add to KPT:

    0" - 1.75" = 265/75/16, 265/70/17, 265/65/18
    0" - 1.75" for a wider tire = 285/65/16, 285/60/17, 285/55/18 (may need some trimming, 275 would be more safe)

    2.5"+ = 285/75/16, 285/70/17, 285/65/18 with 4.5" backspacing & 0 or -12mm offset
    2.5"+ for wider tire = 305/65/16, 305/60/17, 305/55/18 with 4.5" BS & 0 or -12mm offset

so you can play with those numbers, but those are what i see as the most common
