steel rockcrawlers or aluminum welds rims??

what would you guys prefer for a daily driver?? its either between 16x12 steel rock crawler or 15x12 welds with 2"spacer to clear my calipers. i was thinking aluminum rims cause its lighter and would kinda help for mpgs. but dont feel safe with the spacer for my daily

i would say neither, unless they are going on a dedicated trail buggy w/ 15" wide tires that are 37" tall...

Wide size tires do you plan on running to necessitate 12" wide wheels?

I would stick to 10" wide rims 12" wide rims are not going to look good unless your running a 37/15.50 and to fit 15's on a 2nd Gen your going to have your wheels sticking a foot out ouf the wheel wells and you will get pulled over all the time if in fact the sac town you speak of is Sacramento CA.

12" wide wheels? Geez that's a wide wheel and is gonna look retarded unless you're running HUGE tires.

Judging from the user name I'd say you are correct.

OP please let us know what your plans are so we can further assist you with the wheel selection.

I'm giving the OP the benefit of the doubt, saying he's an Alaskan transplant and hoping for Arctic Truck conversion

16x12? holy shit! lol
go with a 15x8 or 15x10,
you get more tire and new tires and wheels are cheaper than 16's!

15's are tough to fit on a 2nd gen. Even some aftermarket 16's have fitment issues.
