Help with offset and backspacing

Im in the process today of ordering xd spys from 4wheel and need to know if 5.21 inch backspacing and an 18mm offset on 265/70/17 nitto terra grapplers will work with no rubbing.

 

We need to know how wide your wheel is.

I think you'll sit outside the fenders a bit. Most of us go for around 4.5bs. IIRC we did the math and 3 something was stock BS. You're running a stock tire size btw.

I doubt you will have rubbing issues, but if you ever go up another size tire, it may put you that much closer to the cab mount.

Hopefully someone that's more of a tire expert will chime in soon. Bear with us, its early and were recovering from a long night of binge drinking

 

my stock size was 245/65/16 i think. Thats what it says on the door atleast

 

Non trd? I hate metric conversion but I think most the stock TRDs are 265/70/17s.... at least the sports with 17s are. You'll clear em easy. Its just your wheel backspace that messes with the geometry.

 

yeah its not a trd. my wheels stock wheels are actually 16x7 and the tire size is 245/75/16

 

Yup. The trucks are the same though, what fit stock for me will fit fine for you. Do they offer a lesser backspace for your wheel? Have you searched the forum, I'm sure people are using them.

Yes that will be fine.

Stock BS is 5.5"

The 17x8 wheel the op wants will sit out 1.25" further than the stock rims (1" from the width, and 0.25" from the backspacing)

245/75/16 is stock for an SR5.

That would be for a 9" wide rim.
