Tire time

Tire time....ok so I have 34.5 K on the stock dunlops, i am concerned with them handling poorly in the winter months and think its time to replace.... I have it norrowed down to this, i want 265/75, either BFG AT, Hankook ATM rf10, of Nitto TG. Here are the things to consider, I love the look of each of these tires however i am not sure i need an LT rated tire, i may be fine with P rated, thoughts? disadvantages? also, E rated is complete over kill for my truck i think so i really like that the Nitto comes in a D rating. These tires are going to last a llllooonnggg time becasue i dont drive much, so i want exactly what i want. Money isnt an issue and discount tires prices these from between $730-790.....not sure which route to go.....anyone make a similar decision recently? I am 97% road driving, very infrequently in the dirt, but want the capibility when i do, also, i can get free mounting and balance and alignment from my Toyota Tech brother.....

i would 100% run the nittos...i have run all 3 of the tires your looking at and there all great tires but the nittos do everything a tiny bit better...and they have a stronger sidewall and even if you beat on them you get 40k miles or more out of them....best snow tire hands down...pm me before you buy...i may be able to get them cheaper for you

Hankooks have really impressed the hell out of me... and I have been 4 wheeling my own vehicles since 1970's.

If you're not going to be hauling heavy loads or towing frequently, I'd go with P ratings.

Some good info here on the difference

Goodyear duratracs! Just got these tires and I love them. There C rated and the ride is just fine.
