    can anyone recommend a good wheel that is very similar to the Mickey Thompson Classic II?

    Found out the 16" wheels don't fit on a 2011 Tacoma...

    I like the KMC Enduros. Pretty similar. They come in 16. Other members are running them, so I don't think there are fitment issues...

    I called Mickey Thompson and they said there's no way the 16s fit the Tacoma

    Yeah, that is kind of what I was thinking. I was looking into some pro-comp 7089's for a while. It was about 50/50 depending on which salesman I talked to when they would tell me if they fit or not. Obviously they do, many members on here are running them in 16's.

    OP, I bet they are telling you that to be safe. I imagine they will fit, but I would research a little more before pulling the trigger.

    I've looked into these wheels before and it seems like it's hit or miss on the fitment. Some people had to shave their brake calipers for it to fit and others didn't have to.

    Sorry I was referring to the classic lock and not the classic ii. Looking at the specs for the classic ii, it looks like it will fit.

    Called a sales rep from TirePackage.com and he said that Toyota has tested one of the 4.4375in backspace Mickey Thompson Classic II and it does NOT fit on the newer Tacomas. They have yet to test the 3.625in...

    16X8 , 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern
    BackSpace = 3.625in
    Max Load = 3100lbs
    Finish = Black
    Hubcentric = NoOffset = -22

    16X8 , 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern
    BackSpace = 4.4375in
    Max Load = 3100lbs
    Finish = Black
    Hubcentric = NoOffset = 0

    I live in Canada so I don't have the option to return these if I purchase the wrong size.
    If you have these on can you please post your vehicle specs? I have a 2011 TRD Sport DC SB.

    I know thanks. I PM'ed him and he told me which exact wheels he has on his truck. However Toyota states that they don't fit on a 2011. Perhaps there is a slight different between the 2011 and 2008?

    As for the wheels go, there is no difference. PSUTaco85 provided proof that it fits and was even nice enough to find the link to it. If you don't feel comfortable buying, then don't get it.

    thanks for the help. I'm going to buy them in the morning.

    now which of these would be least likely to have caliper clearance issues?

    option1 (untested by Toyota):
    BackSpace = 3.625in
    Offset = -22

    option2 (these are the one's in Chris' build, yet Toyota "claims" do not fit):
    BackSpace = 4.4375in
    Offset = 0

    ordered MTs from 4WheelParts and after a month they emailed that my order was "top priority". I asked them what that meant and they said the order was backed up past October...

    I cancelled via email and then they called me trying to change my order to a similar Pro Comp wheel.

    Now I'm looking at these Pro Comp (SERIES 7069 WHEEL - FLAT BLACK) wheels but I won't go through 4wheelparts again. But it looks like I may have to go with Gloss since they don't have flat black with 6 bolt pattern.

    also. Anyone know what place is good to deal with in Canada? I got all my shocks, springs, wheels, etc shipped over the border and I picked it all up this weekend. 4WheelParts let me down and now I'm one component short of getting this project started

    wow thanks for "Jegs"! They have them at a reasonable price and in stock.

    Anyone happen to know if MTs are manufactured in North America?

    The wheels didn't fit.

    Looks like I'll be making a trip to the US to return them to JEGS, if that;s even possible...

    damn PSU how do your 16s fit!? i guess it is a hit and miss thing because my 16s dont fit without spacers, its like bearly i mean extremely small but it touches the caliper i could probably sand the caliper down for 5 minutes and it would fit lol really jealous of the locks though, i wonder if you can buy just the ring and fit it on the classics
