So I was just about to buy some wheelers steelies or some Pro Comp 7089's on Monday but there was a guy in town selling some 16" American Racing 172 series with some 265/70R16's Yokohama Geolanders so I bought them but not sure I like them.

I think the tire has allot to do with making a wheel look good. They look great, don't get me wrong....I love the way they look on first gens...but I'd get a beefier set of tires and that would set it off and make it look allot better! Still looks good though IMO!

You bought a set of wheels and tires without making sure you liked them first, and you originally said you were a female stripper but now you say your name is Rick?

I think you've got bigger decisions to make than deciding on what rims you like...but...as far as the rims go, bigger tires would help but I'm not personally a fan of them as they are now.

    Maybe painted black...not sure.

Just get centercaps they look great the caps just give it the final touch. Have you thought about powdercoating if you wanted to change them to black?

i guess it really depends on how much you paid. They look allright, I agree with others... beefier tires would make a big difference. I also think painted or powdercoated black would look sweet as well.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I like them you just need to replace the tires and if your were to paint them leave some of the wheel bare a all black wheel just look cheap IMO there is no contrast to an all black wheel it just gets lost in the tire even a little thing as chrome lug nuts on a all balck wheel will add some contrast and make them look way better then all black.
