I have done some searching on here and found a little info on the Goodyear Wrangler Authority tire from Wal-mart, and I have searched for the Cooper Discoverer A/T3. I was wondering if the people that have the Goodyear could give an update on the milage. I know that the Cooper will last longer and probably give a better ride, but I really like the looks of that Goodyear. I also know that most will have suggestions on different tires, but I don't have the money for the really nice ones like some of you got. I only have at the most $180 to spend per tire. Anyway any advise would be great!

$180/tire should get you a pretty damn decent tire! I've got the AT3's and am very happy with them. I paid right about $180/tire out the door for 265/70R17's.

Well the Goodyears at wal-mart are $176 and the Coopers at my local tire shop are $178, both are 265/75-16. I really like the Goodyears but can't find much info on milage after around 18,000. My wife ain't going to like it too much if I have to replace these in a year or so. I don't do really any off-roading but I do work in a quarry where it can get pretty rough, muddy, and rocky. I also run a lot of dirt roads.

Are those prices just for the tires or mounted, balanced and out the door? If that's tires only, that's way too much for 16" tires.

Icon Coilovers, Downsouth UCAs, rear Icon "2.5" shocks and Toytec single AAL. Still gotta do exhaust, dark headlights and re-gear the rear diff.

I'll just throw this out here for ya in case....I paid only $215 per tire for the Nitto TRAIL grapplers from www.onlinetires.com Elsewhere, I was seeing prices from $275-300 each!!! Maybe the price is still $215. I only bought them 4months ago.

Although not the tire you're asking about and they are MTs...if these are in your possible range, these are fukn bad ass looking tires and im loving them so far on my 85% street-driven truck :)

I have Treadwright Wardens coming next week. Do some searching, there are plenty of positive reviews about all Treadwright tires. Mine were $100/tire for a very similar tread to the BFG AT.

That is for them mounted, balanced and out the door.

Man, those are some really bad ass looking tires, but I am really pushing it to spend the $180. My wife just had twins a month ago and I already have one boy so my money is very tight right now.

That is some great prices, think I will stick with the other two though, unless my wife just absolutly tells me I can't spend that much.

Well I think that I will be going to wal-mart tomorrow and getting the Goodyears. I will post pics after I get them. If anybody has any reason I shouldn't get these please let me know tonight!
