Remove mudflaps, more rock chipped paint?

anyone here put bigger tires on, removed mudflaps, then had any rock chip problems on the side of your truck?

 

yes, yes, and kind of.

mudflaps protect your vehicle and the vehicles behind you. take em off and you will increase your chances of chipped paint.

 

I got bigger tires and left the mudflaps on and still have paint chip problems. I am considering buying fender flares to help with the problem.

But in all of seriousness, I'd leave them on. I have some chips even WITH mudflaps, from driving around loose lava rock all the time, hard to imagine what I'd look like without em

 

is there an aftermarket mudflap that helps with not rubbing of oversized tires?
