I agree on BFG being overpriced. I'm leaning towards the BFG's but I really wish they made the 265/70R16 in a Load range c 6ply.

^^ This. Except I already have them, and they're awesome. They look great, didn't change my mpg's any, and they perform well so far (waiting for snow still).

The tires are for daily driving. I just want something nice and not overly aggressive.

I just swapped from Falken Rocky Mountains (called wild peaks or something now) 245/75/16s to GY Wrangler Silent Armor 265/70/16s. Amazing difference. The Falkens were so effin heavy and skinny. Had good treadwear but rode harsh and were OK in what little rain I drove in with them but the SAs are tons better...wider, look better, quieter, lighter, 520 Treadwear/50k mile warranty. Now minus the valve stems & disposal fee and instant 40.00 off the invoice was 970 with lifetime balance/rotate & whatnot but....I get 160 off for using the GY cc with 6 mnth same as cash so that'll make them 810 then...signed back up on treadlightly dot org which costs 25 a yr to get another 100 rebate so another 75 net from the 810 will make them 735 then....am selling the Falkens for 100 + a smoked brisket from a guy at work so all said and done they will end up costing me 635 and a bit of arterial damage from the to die for brisket that guy does.......Sorry for the long story but I'm happy to have such a nice set of tires that fill the wheel wells for what they'll end up costing........and the brisket, did I say tasty brisket?

^^^ I really liked my GY SAs ^^^ They were the best all round tireI ever used and seriously considering putting them on my new truck again.
They wore evenly & looked good at 50k when I traded it in.

I'm running General Grabber A/T 2 and they're great. They're also very affordable. If you've got the money to spend, they GY Silent Armor tires are great... Just expensive.

I do not consider 735 for a set of 50k tread warranty tires after the rebates and cc same as cash for 6 mnth to be any more expensive than anything comparable in that size.

I have a prerunner and offroad less than folks with 4wd - maybe those are the ones that think they suck offroad. I am sure there are better tires for a 4wd in many offroad situations. This isn't primarily an offroad tire. Not sure it is even considered AT - maybe all season. Hearing that they are noisy on road is just hearsay. I do 60 miles at 70mph daily and these are much quieter than NTGs, Duratracs or the Falkens by far.

Mine were not noisy either drove 50k on them on a 4wd truck.
They performed good up many fire roads in the Green Mtn Forest, towed alot to Camp on Class 4 roads. About the only thing I did not like about them was ice but what tire is other than studs or chains? Never had any issues with the sidewall or flats & I was far from a mall crawler. But I am sure there are much better Mud/Trail focused tires ie duratracs.

I live in Tacoma as well, I went with the Yoko AT/S from DTD. Great price and styling. I have also found they are quiet and handle the constant wet roads around here great.
