Just bought my Tacoma. Came w/ Nitto A/T 285/55R/20 on 20's. I like less wheel and more rubber. Considering 18's w/ 255/75/18. It has DR coilovers so I can go a bit taller than stock limits. So what I'm asking is how tall and narrow can I go? And what size wheel is really best for these trucks? There are way to many ways to go. I called Discount Tire and some mgrs. like 18" wheels for a starting point. My son like 17's and he works w/ Shannon Cambell race team.

I'd go with 16's if you like more tire, less rim.

If you want narrow, and with the 3" lift, you could go with 255/85/16. That's a 33"

I was thinking pretty much the same. Still a little swayed to an 18. Not sure what tires I could mount to get tall and narrow. Thanks for reply.

Most 18's are going to be at least 9" wide, meaning you can't put skinny tires on them safely anyways. Look for 16x8's if you want skinny tires.
