I am putting a 3" Lift on my 08 Taco Off Road and want to go put a little larger tires on as well.

I am looking at Mickey Thompson ATZ 285/75R16 or 285/70R17.

Which wheel size with what offset do I need to aviod any trimming?

Well I didnt receive any repies so I called 4wheelparts and the rep said, To avoid any rubbing/trimming I should go with an 17x9 BS 4.5 OS -12 or more.

That being said, I ordered my wheels and tires (285/70R17). They will be at my house when I get home from Iraq. YAY!!:D

Hey DJ, missed your post, but that's a good size to go with. I have the Dick Cepek DC-1 at 17x9, 4.5, -12 also. My tires are 285/70/17 Nittos. I have some rubbing going on ever since I had my Total Chaos UPCs installed, so I have to trim more of the front mudflaps.

    Good choices!

    Banchi,

Did you have any rubbing prior to the new upc's?

If so, do you think wheel spacers would prevent that?

How much do your tires stick out past the fender well?

I considered installling wheel spacers to get more tire outside the fender well considering it isnt already the amount I would like. Would this cause any rubbing/clearance issues in any other locations?

Hey I am in the same boat as you are. I am also going to get a 3 inch leveling kit for my Taco but I have 18x9 inch rims with a -12 offset. I am thinking about getting some 285/65/18's on them because some other Taco guys are sporting those with the same size rims I have. Now I just need to get it lifted and see if I am going to have to do any trimming up or not. Let me know once you get yours all set up if you had to do any trimming. Thanks!!!
