    swapping up from 245/75 to 265/75, does this effect the odometer reading? Am i travelling farther than it says? or is that increase in size negligable.....advice? Thanks

    2011 Tacoma 4x4 Regular cab automatic trans,
    Rear Leaf TSB, Bilstein 5100s, extra leaf added
    You will have a difference in odometer readings yes. I went with 265X70-16 for that reason. They are almost identical in height with the 245s. Use the "Tire Size Calculator" at the bottom of this page/screen to compare. The calculator gives percentages in difference and height.

    thanks for the reply, i tried that calculator, i am still unclear as to what percentage i need to add to the total amount of miles driven before i divide by gallons used to check gas milage.....make sence???

    Stock odometer/speedometer reads too fast/ more miles per gallon than real.

    My stock size was 265/70-16 and the speedometer said 70 when I was going 67. I got 16.5 mpg around town.

    My new size is 1" taller: 265/75-16 and my speedometer is now right on 70 at 70. I now get 15.5 mpg around town! But, that is real...
