The bead-lock does nothing. If it did, they wouldn't be a DOT approved wheel for on-road use. I have seen them before with the bead-lock off, I think they look good without it. But have others have said, they are not currently being produced due to issues with them not being able to be balanced. I would look into another wheel or wait until they get that issue straightened out.

I did not know about the balancing issue! That is kinda a big deal! Has anyone seen a similar style wheel out there? I have not. I like the way the cutouts look in the wheel.

The Enduro's don't look the same, but they look similar. You may want to check those out.

not a fan of the silver rings or center cap.

the fj wheel wheels in black or gunmetal are my first choice then the konigs 16 inch off roads, then the 7028 procomps or painted oem. these are expensive and while they are a nice quality the look does nothing for me really and good luck finding them.

I like them, but the point of this exercise is for you to learn that who the hell cares what we think. Get them if YOU like them.

I agree! I will get them based on what I think, but I was putting it out there for the others who liked the TRD wheel because it is similar. I am curious what others think about it, but how much it is liked by others will not affect if I buy them or not.

But this thread was originally intended to point out the TRD Pro wheels because I didn't see anything about them, but I have kinda turned it into a wheel hunt.

I love the look of the AR Chambers! I am actually debating on whether to get those or the TRD wheels you asked about. I have found them on another website called www.elementwheels.com, ranging from $180-$225 depending on finish and size as well. The only thing on these wheels is that if you get them the center cap will not fit, so you will have to put them on without the center cap (which IMO looks better anyways) but you might like the center cap, so just something to think about. Good luck on the wheel hunt though.

These are the nicest rims in my opinion. Even tho I like the look of the bronze ones more (on a black tacoma like mine). the black would look awesome on silver.

How many rims couldn't get balanced ? Mine balanced out fine .... Just use a torque wrench when putting wheel nuts back on. I broke the socket that came with the kit .

I have just over 5 k miles and my tires are wearing fine. As for the Socket I'm looking for a hardened one that will be better than the cheap tin one that comes with the truck.

Not hating on the wheels, but I get annoyed with the faux bead locks. Maybe its just from my rock crawler background, seeing people on the trail with "bead locks" on their rims that didn't do shit. Just trim to make their rig look tough or something...

IMHO, if they're gonna look like bead locks, might as well make them BE bead locks.
