Have steelies professionally painted???

i have the 16 inch steelies and i see many people on here who paint their own wheels with rattle cans..... i dont know if any of you have ever heard of Kwiksilver? They do wheels repairs and they also can professionally paint and seal any kind of factory wheels...they charge $50 a wheel....would this be worth it if they can guarantee it for a certain time. Any inputs would be appreciated greatly!!!

 

I wouldn't waste my money. $50/wheel vs. $30 maybe in sand paper and spray paint total. Spray paint is easily touched up if you kiss a curb or have any kind of trail damage also. Powder coat might be worth it, but I wouldn't powder coat steel wheels (personal preference, I wouldn't spend that much money on cheap steel wheels, seems like kind of a waste).

I'm getting ready to do this myself with duplicolor wheel paint and a satin clear. I'll spend $60-70 with primer, wheel paint and satin clear, overdoing it a bit. They're steelies, this will probably be more than it needs, I wouldn't consider powdercoating steelies, seems like a waste.

 

for 50 bucks a wheel I'd get them powder coated

 

I would definitely just paint them yourself... It's not worth the money unless you powdercoat.

 

I'd just just $30 more per wheel and get aftermarket steelies.
