Correct Offset?

I recently purchased a 2012 Tacoma Prerunner Double Cab SR5. I am looking to upgrade my tires/rims to 265/60-18 and add XD Spy Rims. KMC offers 2 rims at 18x9 6x5.5, one with +18 offset/5.46 backspace and one with -12/4.53 respectively. I've been to 4 sites and 2 sites recommend the -12 and 2 sites the +18. Can anyone help me with the correct fitment?

Thanks

For the 265 size, either of those will do. The -12 will stick out one more inch than the +18

Also, make sure those tires are approved for 9" wide rims. The tire manufacturers site will have a list of approved rim sizes for each tire size,

Thanks, I will check the manufacturer's website to confirm the approved rim size. Are there any other fitment issues going from a 16" wheel to an 18"? Or should I just go to a 265/70 17" rim/tire? Just a personal preference with 18" rim/tire will have a slightly lower profile?

Yep it's all just personal preference.

Also keep in mind that the +18 offset, which is closer to 5.75" bs rather than the 5.46 you listed above, will move the inner portion of the wheel closer to the uca. However with the 9" width, that will act to move the tire further from the uca than stock, so it should balance out and you'll be good to go.
