- Mounted & balanced fine, no issues after 1.5 years.
- Plenty of clearance from the calipers.

They are not as deep as the comparable Pro-Comp or Micky Thompson wheels....but these don't rub the calipers.

Thanks for the pic, always like seeing your truck. I think it looks really good. Front you have bilstein 5100 @1.75" You got any lift in the back? Not to hijack the thread.

No lift in the rear:
4 factory leafs in the rear/5100s. 5100 @1.75 in the front.


It took me months of research & studying TW to decide what I wanted to do with my Tacoma...so I am always glad to help the next guy with their decision.

Level 8 strike 6

I see on the Discount's site that the Level 8 Strike 6 17x9 comes in a -12 offset. Anyone know if you can also get this wheel in a 0 offset? I'm looking at the black wheel with the machined silver trim ring.

I will be running a 265-70-17 Cooper AT3. Suspension will be up .85 or 1.5 with the billies.

Primo - your truck looks awesome. I love the Tracker rims. Since they are lug centric, do you have any type of spacer (forget what they are called) for the hub to help center the rims when you are put them on?

Which of the Level 8 wheel are hub centric and which are lug centric?

How many of you guys that have 16x8.5 rims and run 265/75 tires experience any rubbing (beside mud flaps)? I was suprised to read some people experience rubbing with 17" rims, but I am just now trying to figure out how rim width, B.S., offset and tire size relate with one another in terms of rubbing

I would love to see more pictures of Level 8's on taco's including rim size, tire size, lift and if they had any rubbing issues. Especially Trackers!

I have no spacers. Level 8s fit Tacomas perfectly. I see lots of Tacomas running them. They are the way to go...no filing, no spacers. I have had ZERO issues with my Tire & Wheel combo and they are almost 2 years old.
You will rub with 16x8.5 even with both mudflaps off at stock height....I am pretty sure it is the width that causes the rub. 5100s at 1.75 eliminated all rubbing even when turned off road.

I have a 2.5-3" inch lift and all mud flaps removed. I really do not want to start worrying about anything rubbing.

Thanks for your input, it seems people have very strong opinions for and against lug centric rims!

I think Mr. Discount Tire Direct will answer all your concerns with this post from back at the beginning. In case you haven't noticed there are a bunch of drama queens in this forum that love to bitch, moan, & argue about minute details(and always forget to tell the whole story). I tend to only listen to the experts who make their living off selling tires. Discount has never done me wrong in 30 years of doing business with them.

Ha ha. Nicely put. I try to decipher between to two, I am still learning.

A recommendation from a customer of 30 years is a pretty convincing recommendation.

Looking for a subtle after market rims, nothing to aggressive looking.

Just ordered my Level 8 Trackers tonight. 16x8.5 with Cooper St. Maxx's 265x75.

the rim is a little wider than I was looking for but I love the style. Cant wait to see what they look like once they are mounted.

Well ordered them from discount tire direct Tues eve, got off the phone at 5.45. They were delivered by 2.00 wednesday after noon

So I went to put them on only find ALL FOUR WHEELS WERE SIEZED on! I just had the wheels rotated 1500 miles ago and they were ALL seized on. Three of them I could only break loose by finger tightening two or three lugs and driving over the bump in my driveway (of course after drenching them with wd40), The fourth one I gave up on. Tried beating with a rubber mallet, using high jack with wheel attachment to jack truck up with finger tight lugs, driving over bump in driveway with finger tight lugs and actually driving up and down the street with finger tight lugs NOTHING worked.

when the three level 8 Trackers (265/75) were on the truck they looked GREAT!

any suggestions to get the last wheel off let me know!

Take it back to whoever rotated them. They probably overtighten...& may have ruined your lugs/nuts
