Which mud terrain should i get. . .

well i have made up my mind on two different tires. . . almost

which ones should i get????

firestone destination mt : 285/75-16

or

BF Goodrich T/A KM2 : 255/85-16


im leaning more twoard the km2's cause i heard the destinations suck in the rain but still not sure!!!!

help me decide so i can buy them!

 

All mt's suck in the rain and on road for that matter but I'd do the BFG's just because they are what I have experience with an like them. My experiance with them is with a Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax so it might be a little different with a Yota.

 

im well aware they are gonna suck in the rain. but that just requires slowing down some which isn't hard. im looking for a very agressive bite offroad. i currently have primewell pa100's. although they are an a/t they bite more like an m/t for how far apart the tread lugs are and i want some that bite's even better than that.

main speaking varied terrains dirt/mud/rock/pavement. the bfg's are supossedly quiter on the road.

opinions?

Really dig my Firestone MT. Look great, perform on highway ( little noisey ) great off road traction. I cant say enough good things. 265/70/17. No issues in the rain but i dont drive crazy on wet asphault

 

no biggie man.

think im gonna go with the km2's since they require no chopping

Tire Rack wanted $195 for them.
Just plain Discount Tire wanted $202 for them, but have a if you find them at a lower price let us know policy. I let them know & they offered them to me at $190.

km2 have always been my favorite looking tire...

 

Of course i got the rims and tires for $900.00. The guy only used them once during turkey season then sold his truck. That helped me in my decision also. Regular 240.00ea.

so these will fit minor to no rubbing correct? i have a full 3.5" lift in the front and rear. there has only been a few very specific situations where i actuall got my 32's to rub and that was at full lock and full flex! will i need to chop body mount and remove the pinchweld??

 

those should fit without rubbing/cutting.

The destination mt is an awesome tire. I would go toe to toe with bf Goodrich any day and whoop their ass. Plus they look better. If you haven't seen them in person yet, go to Firestone and look at a set.

I haven't had any problems in the rain. But it doesn't rain much in NM. But I've had them in rain, sand, snow, rocks etc... And they have never let me down.

 

Destination M/T's! I have them on two of my vehicles and my brother has them on his power wagon. Love em

 

Oh yeah, and have not had one single problem with the rain, I've been running them for two years
