General Grabber AT2 vs Bridgestone REVO 2

Which all terrain tire is better between the two for all seasons, tread life, snow, and rain.

 

The revos will give you better wet weather traction but the Generals will have better treadlife. The Revos treadlife isn't that good. I've put 22k miles on mine and they're over half way done. Plus the Revos are a lot more $ than the Generals. I like my Revos but probably will not get another set.

 

I like the atz's. I've got bout 19k on mine and they still look new. I like the fact that there's no road sounds.

 

Never really been a fan of the Revos or Bridgestone for that matter. I dig the tread pattern a lot more on the Grabbers and have been thinking about making them my next tire. Good luck with your decision

 

I'm in the same boat. Wondering what's better between them. I can get the Revos at costco installed out the door for 713.00 when they go on coupon next. The general grabbers are on back order till April. And they are more expensive at discount tire then Revos at costco.

 

I like my Revos. No complaints and am on my second set. Their tread life is not as good as some though.

 

The General Tire is really heavy but great traction

The Grabber AT2 is basically an identical clone of BFG AT so most of the properties carry right over.

 

You can get Revo 2 in P-metric, which reduces weight (and price) by a lot. For 265/75R16:

Revo 2: 41 lb
Grabber AT2: 57 lb

 

revos if your staying on the street if you plan on offroading then get at2 as they are good off and on road....at2 have a stronger sidewall and longer tread life

 

i just got the revo's a few weeks ago, they've been great. i like that there's no noise and i haven't really gone off road to test them so i can't say anything about that, but i got them because i liked the way they looked, not too aggressive creating road noise. i plan on hitting up the snow this weekend, so we'll see how that goes.

 

Can anyone comment on gas mileage with the generals? They look more aggressive, so I assume they won't do as well. Can anyone that has them comment?

 

I have the at2 in 265/70/17 and the drop in mileage is barely noticeable. 285 and up is where the mileage is really lost i believe

 

what do you want to do with your tires? do you do a lot of offroading? do you drive in a lot of rain or snow? do you care about MPG?

 

I had two sets of Revo's on my stock truck. They were great street tires, pretty quiet, good in the snow/rain, lasted for about 50K but never used them off-road, except to grab my trailer, then they would slip n' slide and spin on the grass.
This time around after doing some work to the truck I went with Nitto's. We'll how long they last. So, far, rides, well, a heavier duty tire though, still nice n' quiet.

 

Mostly street driving right now , not too much offroading but these grip amazing in the dirt compared to stock tires. As far as snow, not lately but usually around this time of year yea, just no snow right now to test. Mpg hasn't really changed but Im not crazy about mpg either.
