I just swapped steel wheels on my '09 taco for TRD alloy wheels. Do the alloy rims require different lugnuts. The guy at the garage thought I might need lugnuts with washers? Anyone heard of this?

I just bought a set off ebay that came with lugnuts and have steel wheels myself. I found this thread for us

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/8597-lug-nuts.html

I wasn't worried about not having lug nuts seeing how I have a set left over from alloys off my tundra but will compare once the wheels come on Thurs. Pretty excited about the upgrade, now need to figure out the TPMS since the stock steelies have 40 degree sensors and the alloys 20. You cannot swap the sensors to my knowledge.

Didn't realize this was an issue- My new TT wheels came w/ lugs, so if you need regualr TRD alloy lugs, I have 20 of them + wheel locks laying around if you need them.
