Plastidip Polished Wheels In Winter?

Just curious if anyone has done this? I love the polished aluminum rims but the winter wreaks havoc on them. Been thinking about plastidipping them to save them from the road salt. Then you also get black wheels and polished wheels. Thoughts?

Had the same thought awhile back. Although mine are chrome.
